Peasant Gowns for HGEC BETA

March 1, 2011 at 12:45 pm (Clothing and Armor, Mod Releases)

Name: Peasant Gowns for HGEC
Version: BETA
Date: January 19th, 2011
Category: Armor
Requirements: Eye Candy body textures, Oblivion Patch 1.2.0.214
Author(s): Korana & Roberberbil

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36729

Description
===========
This is a conversion of my favorite Morrowind project: The Peasant gowns. The
mesh was originally made for me by Roberberbil. It comes in over 100 variants
(based on color combinations). There are neck ribbons as well to hide those
pesky infamous Oblivion neck seams.

THIS IS A BETA VERSION. Have you ever baked a pie at the wrong temperature? The crust is burnt,
but the gooey bits aren’t finished? This mod is my pie. It’s been sitting around for
months, awaiting mesh fixes that I simply cannot give it. I cannot bipe a skirt properly for
the life of me. There’s also minor issues with clipping in various other places. I’m probably
never going to get around to fixing it without help, and I’m tired of being a nuisance to those
who could fix them. So here, have a mushy burnt pie!

The ‘nDywyll

October 26, 2010 at 10:48 am (Mod Releases, Playable Races)

Download at nexus: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35397

Name: The ‘nDywyll
Version: 1
Date: 10/25/2010
Category: Races
Requirements: Oblivion Patch 1.2.0.214, Custom Race Fix, Body Mods, optional hair pack (See requirements section below)
Author(s): Korana

Description
===========

This mod adds a race, with 2 facial variants. HGEC and Roberts Male are supported.

The race uses Ren’s head mesh, modified to some degree with a brand new texture. There are 30 new eyes (which glow and glimmer), The race is
based off the traditional “drow” character, with dark skin and white eyebrows. The race has white teeth, and black eyelashes eyelashes. One
variant has darker, more montone lips (which work better for a male) and the other has pinker lips (which work better for female.)

Once the ancestors of the Chimer the ‘n Dywyll descended into the darkest depths in shame and fear after Azura turned their eyes red and their
skin dark during The War of the First Council as punishment for using the profane tools. The ‘n Dywyll move within the shadows, and can summon
a Spiderling for protection. Over time, the ‘n Dywyll have left the depths, and their eyes have adjusted more to the light. Breeding with other
species of elves has resulted in more eye colors.

*****REQUIREMENTS*****
======================

– Oblivion Patch 1.2.0.214
– Custom Race Fix (Unless you are using an alternate start mod) to allow proper dialogue in tutorial dungeon
and thus proper starting to the main quest. I recommend the following:
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1815
– Roberts Male (versions 3 – 5 will function, but 5 is perferred to have proper texture alignment)
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25365
– HGEC
http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15802

Optional:

– Moonshadow Elves (SP Hair Pack Beta Ver 1_0 ONLY)

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30707

YOU WILL NOT HAVE CERTAIN HAIRS AVAILABLE TO YOU UNLESS YOU DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL: SP Hair Pack Beta Ver 1_0
You do not need to download and install that race unless you want to. You just need the meshes and textures from
SP Hair Pack Beta Ver 1_0, located under optional files.

RECOMMENDED
============

In order for best results with texture seams, I recommend Luchaires HGEC Body Seam Reducer. The face egt included in this race uses one
based off Luchaires, as it provided the smoothest texture result around the mouth. While all bodies for all races share the same egt,
installing the Seam Reducer will help manage seams on all races, especially this one.

http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19738

Install
=======
1. Extract this archive to your Oblivion directory, or extract to a temporary directory and manually copy
over files if you prefer.
2. Start Oblivion Launcher (Or Mod Manager if preferred), click ‘Data Files’, place a checkmark beside
n_Dywyll_Elves.esp

To change an existing characters race, you can open up the console by hitting the ~ key and entering in the console: showracemenu
Please be advised that on occasion this has been known to reset your characters stats so if you choose to use this method PLEASE
BACK UP YOUR SAVE BEFORE HAND!

I recommend resetting the character’s face after switching races, and then making adjustments to the face.

Uninstall
=========
1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck Hidden_Elves.esp (I don’t advise removing while your character uses the race)
2. CAREFULLY delete the following folders:
Oblivion\Data\Meshes\characters\NKDElf
Oblivion\Data\Textures\characters\NKDElf
3. Delete n_Dywyll_Elves.esp

Notes
======

– When viewed at a certain angle, one might notice the eyelashes have a bit of a gap. This was a problem noted by the original eye lash
authors. While I had success on creating a set of eyelashes that fit Ren’s head perfectly, they however lost the abilty to blink when
I did so. Untill I sort that issue out, the eyelashes will simply have a gap. I am not sure if you can adjust the facial sliders to
accomidate this, as I hardly adjust my characters eyes.

– Some hairs clip with the ears, however I chose to include them.

– The races were designed for MY female characters, and therefore might not look to fantastic on male characters.

– While I did my best to remove body seams, my eyesight isn’t what it used to be! With HGEC, my character has very minimal if any neck seam.
Keep in mind neckseam can change with body shading variants in outfits and in lighting. If you are having issues with the neck seam please
try one or all of the following:

1) Install Luchaires HGEC Body Seam Reducer (no need to rename and move face egt file, I’ve already done this for you!)

2) RESET the face before adjusting facial sliders.

3) Open up your ini and change bFaceGenTexturing=1 to bFaceGenTexturing=0
This will disable the skin texture sliders!

– The ears refuse to match up, so if you despise it use a hair which covers the hair/ear seem!

– On some characters, Ren’s pony tail with bangs may clip with your head. While I’ve conformulated the hairs to Ren’s Head 02, this
particular hair would not fit properly when conformulated and remains uncomformulated.

– I did not conformulate a few hairs for a few reasons: 1) The SP Hair Pack is not mine to mess with, nor can I include
any files for it in this download and 2) The hair that I converted by Mandamus seems to want to break each time I conformulate it. You may
have clipping with your characters head or face, and will need to adjust the sliders to accommidate. Also, the SP Hairs clip with the ears.

– I did not make skin textures for UFF or Robert’s Female. If anyone wants to color match them and share them I will happily upload them! However,
I ask that you do not upload them yourself!

Usage
===============

You may not modify or distribute this mod as a whole.

You may not modify the race in any way and release an esp without prior consent.

You may not use the HGEC body textures without consent of Navatsea.

You may not use my face textures without prior consent (I hardly say no, but I’m not nice when my wishes are not met!)

However, you *CAN* use the eye textures by me for any race mod or project you wish too, as long as credit to Ren and myself is given.
I originally intended to release only them as a resource, and then decided to go ahead and share the entire project.

Any mesh and texture not mentioned above can be used as per the original terms of their creators. However, I ask that you download them
from their original locations and use the original files as many egts have been modified for this project.

Animation Dummy

October 22, 2010 at 3:49 pm (Utilities)

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35280

The animation dummy is a NifSkope tool I developed to import and test random animations upon a rigged article of clothing, etc. This saves time as a clothing/armor modder, as it allows me to skip hopping between blender, nifskope, and the game to test for clipping issues. This tool may be used with NifSkope and blender open to test for clipping issues at the same time. I have shared this tool with multiple people, and at the request of others have made it available.

Note: Yes there are various other ways of achieving the same thing, but they do not always work. Please do the research before you decide to make a snide comment about this utility. Already dealt with that and I’m not feeling so nice about that anymore…

Text instructions for use (PDF with pictures included in archive)

1. Open up the animation dummy (NKAnimationDummy.nif) with NifSkope

2. Select Render -> Draw Nodes

3. You should now see a stick figure skeleton. Position your viewing window to the angle and zoom of your choice. I recommend a straight forward view such as shown to the left.

4. Open up in an additional NifSkope window the mesh that you wish to preview the animation for. For example purposes I shall use my Westwind Rogue armor.

5. Now you will need to copy the outfit into the animation dummy. To do so do the following:

A) Select a NiTriStrip (nor NiTriShape, depending) either in the branch list or by clicking on the desired part in the render window. You will see both the TriStrip and the object become highlighted.

B) Right click and select Block -> Copy Branch

C) Switch NifSkope windows to view the Animation Dummy.

D) Select the main NiNode “Scene Root” by clicking on it in the branch list.

E) Right click and select Block -> Paste Branch
You will now see the selected TriStrip/Shape from the outfit on the skeleton in the render window.

F) Repeat the process until all the the desired pieces you wish to view on the animation dummy are copied over (I recommend testing all pieces. If so, both your open nifSkope windows should look identical in appearance in the render window. The drawn nodes may look different in several sections. This is okay, the animation will still look true to game when previewed. You should save the animation dummy with a new name at this point.

6. Now you can import animation to test the outfit in various poses.

A. Go to Spells -> Animation -> Attach .kf

B. Browse and select the animation you wish to import. For ease, several have been included. You may use any animation in any location of your choosing. You may find the original animations of Oblivion by extracting the bsa files and looking under meshes\characters\_male

C. In some versions of nifskope, an error box may pop up. Hit the red boxed in X in the upper right hand corner. This error will not affect playback.

D. Some animations will instantly begin to play. Some, such as running (walkfastforward) might move too fast to view. I recommend immediately hitting the pause/play button. From there you can move the slider to the right for a frame by frame view of the animation at your control.

E. To switch between multiple animations you will need to import each one. There is a drop box to the right of the animation slider. You may select which animation to switch between there.

Now you have finished importing your animation dummy. If any rigging adjustments need to be made, you may make them in blender and re-copy parts to test again. DO NOT IMPORT THE ANIMATION DUMMY INTO BLENDER!!!

You may delete and re-paste individual parts to the dummy, unless any significant switches to the skeleton or overall rigging have been made. Then I suggest starting fresh!

Credits:

• Thanks to Bethesda for such a great game
• Thanks to the Nifskope Team for NifSkope
• Thanks to the Blender Team for Blender:

Usage:

You may use this freely, I share it as a free tool. However, you may not modify it or distribute it without direct expressive permission.

Priestess Of Dibella for HGEC

July 8, 2010 at 1:09 pm (Clothing and Armor, Mod Releases)

I disappeared for a while, but I’m *trying* to finish up a group of projects! Thanks to injuring my back somehow, I had time to get one finished.

Name: Priestess Of Dibella for HGEC
Version: 1
Date: July 8, 2010
Category: Clothing/Armor
Requirements: Oblivion Patch 1.2.0.214, Eye Candy Body Textures
Author(s): Korana

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32855

Description
===========
This armor was originally a free model, sent to me by a friend who informed me they had asked and
obtained permission for use, but they did not know how to convert the outfit.
Sadly, that friend no longer has internet contact and I have lost my notes with the original authors
name. That said, it’s high poly and not perfect (due to me being out of modding time).

You may find the “armor” in a chest near the statue of Dibella in Anvil (promo shot was taken near
the chest). There are several color variants, based loosely off the existing armor materials
in Oblivion.

Required mods
=============
* HGEC/Eyecandy body textures

Install
=======

1. Extract this archive into your Oblivion directory to install the files.

2. Start Oblivion Launcher, Click ‘Data Files’ and place a checkmark besides the following:
Priestess_of_Dibella_HGEC.esp

Uninstall
=========
1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp
2. Delete the following files associated with the mod.
*meshes\armor\NK\Rose
*textures\armor\NK\Rose
*textures\menus\icons\armor\NK\Rose
3. Priestess_of_Dibella_HGEC.esp

Incompatibility
===============
This should work fine with Knights Of The Nine, but may conflict with any mod that alters the area
around the Anvil chapel in any fashion.

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
You might get minor clipping in some poses, and major clipping with more extreme
pose mods.

HIGH POLY! I warned you. Don’t complain. I will hunt you.

The model doesn’t fit perfect. Care to complain? You better care to fix it while you are at it and
supply me with a better model, else your complaint makes you seem greedy and non thankful. Is that
fun?

History
=======
June,2010 – shared model with select community
July 8, 2010 – version 1 release

Contact
=======

You can find me under “Korana” at ORE, nexus, or TESeyecandy.co.uk or http://tesadventures.com
You can email me at the following address: Roxykittyd@roadrunner.com but due to some recent
mis-adventures I’d prefer contact via one of the above forums. Thanks for understanding!

Credits
=======
Thanks to the original author, I wish I could find your information.
Thanks to Chingari for rigging and applying a texture
Thanks to Bethesda for creating Oblivion.
Thanks to Exnem & NPR/Raiar for the the Eyecandy/HGEC body!
Thanks to the Nifskope Team
Thanks to the Blender Team!
Thanks to LHammonds for the Readme Generator this file was based on.

Licensing/Legal
===============

You have my permission to modify this model and release it. My only caveat is that you DO NOT take responsibility for the model
work yourself, and credit the unknown author for their original work and myself for fitting it to the HGEC form (though I admit
I could have done a much better job!), as well as Chingari for his work performed on the model.

THIS PART IS IMPORTANT!!

I tentatively released this. If at any time the original author has a problem with the distribution of this model, I
ask that you respectfully take it down immediately!!!

The Hidden Elves

March 17, 2010 at 6:54 pm (Mod Releases, Playable Races)

This mod adds a race, and 3 variants, for player use. HGEC, Roberts Male, Roberts Female, and UFF are supported.

The race uses Ren’s head mesh, modified to some degree with a brand new texture. There are 20 brand new eyes (which glow and glimmer),
and each of the 3 variants of the race has it’s own unique eyes in addition to the base eyes of the race in general. The rac has white
teeth and eyelashes.

Also known as “Haldmer” to the people of the Summerset Isles. In the years that followed The Summerset Isles joining the Empire,
piracy and trade from High Rock increased. It is believed that many Breton men took Altmer women as their mistresses. The children
of these illegal matches were considered impure to the tradition-bound Psijic Order, who sought to remove any trace of such impurities
from history. Any child of half blood was put to death before the sun set on their first day. The few that remained hidden from the
watches of the Order remained in exile for hundreds of years.

On occasion, Knights of the Order would hunt down and capture the Haldmer. These prisoners proved themselves as useful laborers and
militia, and the Altmer adopted the process of secretly trading and enslaving the children instead, it is even rumored that slaves
began to be intentionally bred. Only in the recent years with the cultural unrest in the Summerset Isles have the Elves become to be
released from the bonds of servitude.

Shadowcrest Vineyard Named ORE’s Most Imaginative Home Of 2009

March 17, 2010 at 6:32 pm (Housing, Mod Updates)

A long overdue celebration (I’m a terrible blogger, I know!) Shadowcrest Vineyard was voted Oblivion Real Estate’s Most Imaginative Home Of 2009. It was in the running with some truely exceptional mods, and ran at a dead tie for quite some time along side Vince Bly’s amazing jewel, The Abandoned Mountain Shack: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22846

It was truly an honor to see this home awarded this title! Thank you all very much! If you have yet to discover the Vineyard, please stop on by: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22810

If you like it, keep on eye out for an update at some point in the future!
